My day job has been keeping me busy these last few weeks. I’m finally feeling rested after my holiday craft fairs and the holidays and sadly, I’ve been tied up with my day job but I promise to post some craft fair recaps and pictures and new stuff for you soon!

2009 was a stupendous year for Mochi Studios! Last year, was Mochi Studios’ first year and I’m proud that it’s grown so much in just a few months! I’m extremely thankful for my supporters and friends who have constantly encouraged me to grow this venture even though it was a rough economic climate. I participated in two major craft shows and sold pretty much all the plushies I made all year!

This 2010, I will work even harder to continue to grow Mochi Studios. First off, I will be working on revamping mochsitudios.com and also building out my Etsy shop. I really enjoyed vending at craft fairs so I will keep applying to many craft fairs because it makes me so happy to see people squishing and enjoying my plushies! And I will definitely work on improving my craft skills and developing my line of plush creations!

It’s right next to Beverly’s craft and fabric store’s back entrance close to the giant Christmas tree! Her shop is full of wonderful hand crafted creations from kitty cat crayons to handbags to beautiful jewelry! See all the designers showcasing at Modern Mouse here!

You’ll find Mochi Studios’ Ninja Beans, Pea Pods, and Rice Babies at Modern Mouse this holiday season! I haven’t had a chance yet to visit her store again to take a picture of my display but I do hope some of you get the chance to visit the Modern Mouse store!

With five colorful cute critters to choose from, any Rice Baby would be a darling gift for any friend! Rice Babies are made with eco-friendly felt which is made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles. Each Rice Baby is hand sewn by hand and embroidered with cute faces. The Cat and the Mouse have a tail. They are filled with recycled poly pellets so that they can stand up one their own! Each Rice Baby is approximately 3″ tall and almost 2″ wide.

I worked on designing my business cards for weeks and it only took 5 days to print them and I picked them up at their location in Berkeley. Their staff is very friendly, and I am really impressed with the high quality of the cards. They are printed on 100% recycled, chlorine-free paper using soy and vegetable inks at a fully wind powered shop. Why is that important? The colors are crisp, vibrant, and beautiful, and every detail shines thanks to their eco-friendly inks and sturdy recycled paper. I really love them! I can’t wait to start passing these out! Let’s see how long it will take me to go through all 500 business cards ^-^
